Crain's New York: $2B Astoria development plan clears final hurdle

A $2 billion development plan for Astoria, which would bring nearly 3,000 units of housing to the neighborhood, received the green light Tuesday from the City Council. The decision clears the way for developers Silverstein Properties, BedRock Real Estate Partners and Kaufman Astoria to get their project off the ground.
